Time travel at minus 20 degree Celsius

Survival as in the iron age: this February, at temperatures under 20 degrees celsius students from Tartu lived for one week like the Vikings in pre-Christianity centuries in Rouge, South Estonia . They shivered in front of their log cabin, fought against biting smoke, and warmed themselves with self-brewed beer.

During the day the students were busy with finding firewood and cooking, in the evening they relaxed at meagre lighting, with knitting, producing candles, cutting wood, and exchanging stories. One said: “It was an adventure. If I had the chance, I would do it again. ”

I live in Germany.
