European ministers have agreed to press ahead with plans to create a single agency to run large IT systems in the areas of security, justice and freedom.
The Council of the European Union has said that its “decisive political agreement” on 9 June will pave the way for of an EU agency to begin running large-scale IT systems in summer 2012. …
The agency will be headquartered in Tallinn, with development and operational management functions carried out in Strasbourg. A back-up site will operate in Sankt Johann im Pongau in Austria.
